BIOGRAPHY:
In 1967 the 1910 Fruitgum Company® was signed to a recording contract with Buddah Records. The first release in 1968, Simon Says, became a top of the chart hit in the US and ranked number two in the United Kingdom, staying on the charts for over 10 weeks. The group followed up with 1-2-3 Red Light which hit the charts and got to number three on the US National charts. Following was Indian Giver in March of 1969 which reached number eight on the charts and was copied by Joan Jett and the Ramones. All three records sold millions and credited the 1910 Fruitgum Company with three gold records. The group had a total of eight charted hits and numerous albums throughout the world.
Today, the 1910 Fruitgum Company is back with original members and a lineup of great vocalists and musicians who perform the original hits along with the top hits of the 60’s. The 1910 Fruitgum Company has been interviewed by VH-1 for a special and has played all over the United States. Our members have toured, and or performed with such acts as The Beach Boys, Trini Lopez, Sly and the Family Stone, Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, Mark Lindsey of Paul Revere and the Raiders, Ron Dante of the Archie’s, Tommy Roe, The Vogues, The Dubs, The Drifters, Lou Christie, The Lovin Spoonful, Joey Dee, Alan O’Day, Bo Donaldson and the Heywood’s, Eddie Brigati of the Rascals, Dennis Tufano of the Buckinghams and numerous other acts as well as appearing on American Bandstand and several other television shows.
The 1910 Fruitgum Company will perform a show that will have it's audience dancing in the Aisles.

The Cannery Casino Las Vegas - The Tropicana Casino - The Paramount Theater – Musikfest/Artsquest - The Union County Arts Center - The Bronx Zoo - The Lakeside Association - The Hoover Auditorium - The Shooting Star Casino - The Aronoff Center - Six Flags Great Adventure - The Showboat Casino - The Wildwood Festival - The American Cancer Society - Fairs - Corporate Events - Charitable affairs and numerous other events. We have just finished recording a new CD with original songs. Our new Christmas CD Bubblegum Christmas has recently been released on Collectible Records.
The 1910 Fruitgum Company ® virtually exploded onto the National charts in 1968 with the first single release, "SIMON SAYS". The song quickly moved up the charts to become a # 2 record on the national charts and reached the top of the charts in the United Kingdom. The 1910 Fruitgum Company followed up this initial success with another smash hit, "1-2-3 RED LIGHT". The group’s next hit record, "INDIAN GIVER" became The 1910 Fruitgum Company’s third Gold record. Other releases to follow included, "MAY I TAKE A GIANT STEP", “SPECIAL DELIVERY”, “THE TRAIN”, “WHEN WE GET MARRIED” and “REFLECTIONS IN THE LOOKING GLASS”. Several other songs created a virtual treasure chest of albums!
Today, The 1910 Fruitgum Company travels and performs throughout the United States. Our venues include large capacity concerts and we have appeared on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand and numerous tv and radio shows as well as Las Vegas. The group has shared the stage and toured with such music and entertainment giants as, The Beach Boys, Lou Christie, Sly and the Family Stone, Tommy Roe, Mark Lindsey (original lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders), The Vogues, The Archies' Ron Dante, Gary US Bonds, Jim Yester of the Association, Melanie, Commander Cody and numerous other top acts.
Today, the group is back, with original members, and going strong. Our recently released brand new cd contains several of the old hits that were re-recorded and several brand new original songs, written by group members. We hope you enjoy the new songs as well as the hits on this new album which is now available on our merchandise page and demonstrates the versatility of this group.
