The Laura Bayliss Jazz Trio
The Band
The Laura Bayliss Trio was formed in May of 2002 by Laura and drummer Don
Quackenbush.
In the four years since the band was formed is already well known throughout
the mid-west having played such venues as Caroline's Jazz Club in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, The Braxton Jazz Club in Oakbrook, Illinois, The United Center in Chicago as well as The
Crown Plaza and Basie's Jazz Club in Madison, Wisconsin and has done work in Iowa and Laguna Hills,
California.The band has performed at sea with The Holland America Lines and Radisson Seven Seas
Cruise Line as well.
The group plays an array of original compositions as well as a mix of contemporary and traditional
jazz by many different artists past and present.
The Artist
Laura Bayliss is an accomplished pianist & vocalist.She is also a veteran composer, arranger and
performer.

Her influences are Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee as well as pianists Eliane Elias and Vince
Geraldi. Although well versed in many genres of music,Laura's life long passion for jazz has given
birth to "The Laura Bayliss Jazz Trio"
Don Quackenbush is a jazz veteran of 38 years and has played everything from blues to swing. His
influnces include Gene Krupa, Papa Jo Jones and Buddy Rich. Don has worked with many small groups
and big bands as well as having played with such artist as Richie Cole,and trombonist Jim Trimble.
Jestin Korleski is an accomplished accoustic and electric bassist. Jestin has performed with many groups
and is equally at home whether playing jazz or rock.
